We bought a condo with a 20+-year-old, cramped kitchen (a closet at one end ate up counter space). Our scope included new cabinets, countertop, backsplash, floor tile, and appliances. Several contractors warned the popcorn ceiling would look patchy after removing the closet and said it couldn’t be blended. Udi was the only one who proposed a smart solution—drop the ceiling slightly and add recessed lights. The result is clean, bright, and open, exactly what we wanted. For example, our ceiling was lower than the hood spec, and his team cut the chimney to fit perfectly. They also went above and beyond: picking up tile, receiving the sink and faucet, and bringing everything to the unit, which meant a lot since my husband was overseas during the project. We love our new kitchen and would 100% recommend Udi and his team Maya Construction. They made the project surprisingly painless, and even enjoyable (I joked the hardest part was waking up for it since I’m not a morning person and the crew starts at 8!).
