Vintage Chicago Bathroom Transformation
The Design Goal: Modern Luxury in a Vintage Footprint
The primary objective for this compact bathroom in a vintage Chicago building was a complete aesthetic and functional modernization.
The homeowners wanted to move away from the heavy 1970s blue fixtures and dated tiling to create a serene, spa-inspired retreat.
Our focus was on maximizing the tight urban footprint while introducing bright, high-quality surfaces and contemporary fixtures that reflect natural light, making the small space feel expansive and luxurious.
The Solution: A Strategic Wet-Room Overhaul
Maya Construction Group, led by owners Udi Yeger and Ofer Gliksman, designed a high-impact renovation that completely reimagined the wet zone.
We replaced the cumbersome bathtub with a spacious, barrier-free walk-in shower featuring a seamless glass enclosure and professional slope-to-drain installation.
We utilized a bright palette of marble-veined porcelain for the walls and a sophisticated mosaic pebble floor to provide texture and safety, ensuring the new shower became the luminous centerpiece of the room.
